Rancher Energy Corp - oil and gas exploration and development
THE COMPANY

Energy Production

Rancher Energy Corp. actively pursues the acquisition of oil fields in the Rocky Mountain region. Working with third-party experts - scientists and engineers - Rancher creates the most cost-efficient plan to maximize the productivity of each property, focusing energy primarily on enhanced oil recovery through injection of CO2 into the field. The high price of oil and the advancement of recovery technologies makes it economically attractive to extract oil from secondary and tertiary assets.

BUSINESS STRATEGY

Strategic Asset Acquisition & Development

  • Pursue attractive reserve and leasehold acquisitions. The Company's focus is on acquiring assets that provide the opportunity for developmental drilling, the drilling of extensional step out wells, and use of state-of-the art enhanced oil recovery techniques, such as CO2 injection.
  • Pursue selective complementary acquisitions. The Company will seek to acquire long-lived producing properties with a high degree of operating control, or entities that are known to be competent in the area.
  • Drive growth through technology and drilling. Rancher Energy plans to supplement its long-term reserve and production growth through the use of 3-D seismic and reservoir geology experts, coupled with strategically-focused drilling operations.
  • Maximize operational control. To date, Rancher Energy does not own any assets where the Company is not the operator. It is strategically important to the Company's future growth and maturation as an independent oil production company to be able to continue to serve as operator of its properties when possible, as that will enable the Company to exert greater control over costs and timing in and manner of development and production activities.
  • Operate efficiently, effectively, and maximize economies of scale where practical. Rancher Energy expects that its cost structure will benefit from economies of scale and continuing cost management initiatives as it grows. As the Company manages its growth, focus will be on reducing lease operating expenses, general and administrative costs, and finding and development costs.
